Something has changed and obviously I have missed it. I used to be able to view my previous post and now there is no evidence of any of my previous post. When I go to My Content there is nothing there. What is going on with the site?

I noticed that earlier on today. But everything I've posted since "sometime earlier today" shows up? It's still there if you go to it the hard way, searching for the post, or going directly to the forum you left it in.

I also noticed that I don't have an edit button after I reply. That happened to some folks a short time back, but mine was there. Now it isn't....

I suspect that people a lot smarter than me are buggering around with forum software that's probably older than me, trying to get it to keep up with the modern world which adopts new hardware and software faster than me, so I don't worry about quirks too much. I figure that if it's in my browser, they'll get it. And if it's in the board software, they'll get it.

But yeah, something's amis, for now anyway.

Hey guys, I am working on the issue, there is an search indexing problem on the server. We can still use the site but some of the functions that rely on that index may be temporarily unavailable. Not sure about the edit button though, that's weird.

When I click "edit", the post goes blank (white). Been happening on and off recently, but it's like that all the time for me today.

See.... I knew somebody smarter than me was already working on it.... :)

The edit button thing- it was back when I posted the post above, but when I clicked on it to make a smart aleck edit, the whole field went blank. So I touched nothing and closed the window real quick before that autosaved or something... I guess it worked.

If the screen goes blank, try just hitting refresh.

yep, was just about to report that searches are failing.
Thanks..

Well I feel better that I'm not the only one. I thought I must have got banned or something like that. We are living in strange times now. I've seen a lot in my almost 73 years. I always wonder why nobody ever hacked my Television set or why I never got a virus watching Gun smoke or Bonanza. lol Oh well I never really understood how Television and Radio worked much less the telephone system so I'm with Jake M. Not much a dummy like me can do about it so why worry. lol But I do know how the light switch works. Up is on and Down is off and that is good enuff for me.

Opposite way in the UK... Down is On, Up is off. Easier to turn the lights on with your elbow/chin/nose/anything else if your hands are full. We also have switches on our sockets (outlets to those in theUS), plus ALL plugs are three pin so they include an earth, despite some electrical / electonic goods only having feed & return with no earth wire!

As to the "white/blank page when hitting edit, a number of people found that was something to do with browser add-ons.
