SNOW DR-1A TAPPER - $500 (California City)

Interesting machine. Don't know what you'd do with it in a hobby shop but if you needed to tap a bazillion holes it would be great....

My thought exactly. I only post stuff that catches my curiosity, or that Whoopee hasn’t posted :)

never heard or seen a machine like it, kinda like that crazy block fly cutter. Seems a lot of interesting old machines are hitting the market.

There's definitely value in posting this kinda stuff here. So many things were built before the internet and nobody's documented them so it's nice that when somebody does a search they'll end up here where people will try to help them. We tend to love odd-ball stuff around here ;)

This is a large part of the reason I like finding and posting this stuff. I learn new things everyday.

I love oddball machines and mechanisms. Some are obvious, some are real head scratchers. Either of you guys checkout ox tools Leitz optical optical dividing head tear down? Now there is a very esoteric piece and just chock full of crazy engineering. He makes it sound like it’s a lost cause because it got full of water at some time and is corroded inside. I’d have an impossibly hard time disposing of all those wonderful parts and pieces.
