Slitting saw blade

How deep do you have to go? I frequently use much smaller and thinner slotting blades and aluminum can be tricky due to chips not clearing and welding. I have used WD-40 with some success.

What do other recommend?

2” but it has a 3/4” hole in the middle, it’s a clamp for a mini die grinder

That 30 tooth sounds more like a screw slotting saw than a slitting saw, that leaves it without much chip space, likely to jam up.

? What number tooth do you recomend,Thanks
Having thought more about it, 30 tooth is not so very close tooth spacing as I was thinking for a 3" saw, it should be OK, especially if you take rather shallow cuts, although I personally would be more aggressive than suggested above. WD 40 works for lube, the old standard was kerosene.
