When I purchased my Easson ES12 DRO for my mill the Chinese supplier was supposed to supply SINPO glass scales for all three axis. Unfortunately they were out of stock of the size required for the Y axis and sent a SINO brand scale instead.
Two years later the double layer plastic sealing lips that prevent chip ingress are still in perfect condition on the SINPO Scales.
In contrast the SINO scales have only one pair of seals and these have become so hard and stiff that they no longer close behind the readhead to produce a seal.
The scales have never been exposed to coolant. I think the seals are replaceable but have no idea where to obtain spares.
Have tried to attach some pictures Hope you can see the gaps.
While I would buy SINPO brand scales again would steer clear of SINO
