Sine plate -vs- tilting Mill table.

Morning all, TGIF. Could someone offer the typical uses of a Sine Plate? The kid wanted to make a jig at an angle and someone noted to get a Sine plate. Yet they do not look like they are for mounting and milling work are they?

He does not need precision just a slope. Or we go make our own jig. Tx CG.

I have used a sine plate for light milling, or sometimes just for setting a part on an angle in a vice. They definitely are not for heavy milling. The angle table in the link would be great for heavier work.
