Shop rental

This is a strange request. I live in the Chicago area. Northwest from the city by about 35 miles. Does anyone know of a shop that will rent you some shop time for a couple of hours once on a while? I am a retired tool and die maker with 50 plus years of experience. I used to have a shop in my basement. Mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc. I sold all the machines to concentrate on woodworking. Big mistake.
Any thoughts? Do those exist anywhere?

Try searching for a Fab Lab or Maker Space. These places often have classes or hourly rates. The equipment will vary by location. Typically you will find 3D printers, CNC routers, laser engraving. My local Fab Lab also has woodwork shop, metal work shop including manual lathe, CNC lathe and CNC milling machines. They offer monthly subscription or something like $15/hr to rent the facility. This is in Bethlehem, PA, so not in your area.
