Tapper attachment part needed.
Does anyone know where I can get the part circled in red?
I'm not sure of the name.It is for my 10" Sheldon Lathe taper attachment.
Thanks for your help.

Which part are you looking for? The nut, thrust bearings or the screw

I would need all 3.

When it comes to replacing screws on these old lathes, it's usually easiest to cut off the acme threaded part and retain the rest- drill and ream to receive the new acme screw. Turn down the end of the screw as needed to press- fit the reamed hole. Use sleeve retainer, and it wouldn't hurt to taper-pin together as well. I did this on my SB, sleeve retainer only and it's still holding strong.

On my Sheldon, screw wear wasn't really bad- but I need to hold a thou on most of what I do and it had lost that precision in part of its travel.
Decided a DRO was a better investment than a new screw.

On my 13" Sheldon the 2 banded thrust bearings are NICE 602 with a 3/8" bore. The nut is a wide low profile lock nut. The screw would have to be made.
