[Shaper] Shaper Saddle help-advice needed

Anyone know how to get the saddle off of an old Vernon shaper?
It's a "Vernon" not a "Vernon-Sheldon", don't know if it makes a difference or not with respect to dis-assembly or not.

Thanks for the replies. Pictures are difficult to send at the moment. I got the saddle off with brute force and ignorance, mostly just ignorance....

Sorry I missed you earlier posts. I have and have rebuilt a Vernon 12". If you need further info PM me. There is almost no info available that I have been able to find. I too had to figure out almost everything myself. Good luck. I'll be glad to help where I can.
