Setting Up Parting Blade

Hi, I am setting up my parting blade in an AXA parting holder. The blade is t-shaped, so of course the blade does not sit vertical. How do you all compensate for this if at all? I was thinking of shim stock.

Shim stock will work if its a rigid set up. If you really like those parting blades, then modify your holder to secure them vertically.
