There's a 3 jaw and a 4 jaw chuck on Fee Bay for a Star 10. Any chance they'd fit the spindle on my 30?

You need to measure your spindle. Diameter in inches / threads per inch.

Most of the chucks for these lathes will be plain back with a backing plate. Even if it’s the right size you still may need to true it up for your machine.

So, unless it’s a smoking deal you’ll probably be better off getting a backing plate and the chuck you want.

Thank you. I'm not sure what would constitute a "smoking deal" but @ $350 asking price, this probably isn't it.

Might find some great info here.

The spindle nose thread on a 13" machine (#60, #65, #70, or #75) is 2" in diameter and 8 TPI. The spindle nose on an 11" machine (#25, #30 #40, or #50) is 1 9/16" diameter and 10 TPI. The spindle nose on a 9" machine (#10 or #20) is 1 7/16" in diameter and 12 TPI.

So the answer is NO a chuck "back plate" for a #30 machine will not fit a #10 machine. That being said any chuck within the swing range of the lathe can be used if you make an appropriate size back plate. I have done this on a number of occasions. When adapting chucks with larger diameter screw threads I have either bored out the existing threads, made a plug, pressed and pinned it in place and cut the appropriate new threads.
If the new chuck has a considerably larger thread configuration I've made a plug with external threads to fit the back plate, and bored and threaded it to accommodate the1 7/16-12 threads on the spindle. Once it's threaded into the backplate I pin it in place.

Well, that's pretty definitive! Thank you!

I guess I'll pass on it, they're used and who knows in what condition. For the price I could find new.
