Holding round parts in a milling vice can be difficult if the part is larger than the available vee blocks. This simple pair of identical jaws can hold from over 160mm diameter down to below 30mm diameter with reducing pins.
If the part sits below the jaws the use of an indicator is not possible. As the jaws are identical & exactly 100 mm wide an edgefinder is easily used to find the X dimension @ 50mm from one edge. The Y dimension is mid point between the vice jaws. These two dimensions will give the centre of the disc without having to edgefind on curved surfaces.
