I think the actual manufacturer on mine is Lin Huan. In any event, I wish that a lathe just like mine would be manufactured new today. It does have power cross feed as well. The only thing I would ask for is a longitudinal feed that feeds through a key slot like a South Bend, and not with the half nuts, and also a slower feed rate (this one only goes down to .0045. The weight without the stand and motor, if I am reading correctly is 275 lbs. net. Actually would not complain if it had a 9 inch swing and more weight.I ended up with it's big brother, 12x36 Samson (rebadged Tida as yours probably is).
