Not totally, but I was making an indicator Plate , widget , to read tailstock depth, snuck up on the diameter, and then went .050 over, still don't know how. That's the sucky part.

What ever happened, it wasn't your fault. And if you do know what happened, never tell or admit fault. This is the way. ;)

And it's not scrap, it may go in the scrap bin for now, but one day it will be turned into something else, so not scrap!

Just funny, made me think of a shop, and an old guy I knew years ago. Well respected, the absolute GURU for machinework. He scrapped a very high dollar part, probably 10k or thereabouts, just guessing now, but he was just blah, it happens. And everyone else was like "I would just load my toolbox now if "I" did that"
