I'm looking to refit my South Bend Junior 8 lathe with a Junior 9 spindle.
Recently I line-bored my headstock due to wear/damage and relined it with bronze bushings, but have decided I'd like to upgrade to a 9" spindle for it's more common 1-1/2 x 8 spindle threads.
The spindle I need would be from pre-1935 lathes I think, where the outboard spindle reverse gear is a separate component, not a machined part of the spindle.
If you have a good one laying around & want to help a brother out I'd be happy to negotiate a price.
Thanks!
