Was considering the PM1440GT or TL. Currently have 12k saved but can wait and save more to get the TL. I dont mind saving for something I'll have hopefully for the rest of my life so the money isnt a huge issue.
I do a lot of threading metric, inch, and acme. So the change gears are the biggest downside. I dont have any plans to "sell" anything I make, mostly just tools for myself and random projects. I just like making things and having nice tools.
Looking also at a used Southwestern Trak and Haas TL1. CNC would make threading super easy but always the concern with buying used obviously.
Only have room for one lathe so just trying to decide which direction to go in.
