JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCE WITH SANOU CHUCKS. I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING ONE. THE 6" K11-160A IS THE MODEL I AM LOOKING AT.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANKS
RAY

This fellow went through a lot more trouble than I would have. I would have returned it with a picture of how far off the jaws were. I'm glad he showed his method of grinding the jaws, which was very good. Never saw that technique of locking-up the jaws from the sides. -Very cool.

Anyhow, it looks like QC can be an issue with these. Perhaps I got lucky and both my 6-Jaw chucks were very true. Each needed disassembly, cleaning and lubing. After the backplates were fitted, they performed great and still do. I've used them almost exclusively since getting them.

All in all, I'd still consider this brand. The alternatives are to buy a $700+ unit from one of the big names or, possibly buy someone's past headache off ebay.

You're right Ray, that's what worries most potential buyers buying anything coming from that part of the world, I wanted their 5" 4 jaw chuck for while but if the jaws were out of whack, I wouldn't have the patience to deal with fixing them like this fellow did.
I 'd still think it's probably worth taking a chance if one is prepared to deal with shipping it back and all the headaches that goes with it.
