Safe Lifting

My real job is Paramedic.
I had a bad lift in February during a freezing rain storm during which a gentelman fell in his driveway, resulting in a thigh bone fracture (femur- it is a big deal!).
I've had recurrent back problems since.
This past Saturday I bent over to pick up a 3/8inch wrench I dropped (don't drop Proto wrenches, they are expensive).
It has not been a good weekend!

Please use proper body mechanics when lifting. Sometimes it's just not possible, e.g. 1/8inch of driveway ice in February.

Uglydog I know how that feels, Broke the left one twice once in Nam when I stepped on a mine And the other time I hit a car doing about 70 on my Harley.

Neither one was fun but at least I rode the Harley to stop before my foot slipped off the suicide clutch.
