Love that 'golden hour' California light.
I miss cruising Wentworth to Sheldon, Sunland to Sun Valley and beyond on hot summer nights with the top down.
I miss the San Fernando Valley so much.
25 cent double ice cream cones at Sav-On pharmacy, browsing the isles at Sam's Used Tool on Sherman Way and West Valley Tool in Van Nuys...
Nothing like that here in NC.
 
Nice machine! The logo in photo 10 is a dead-ringer for the Mitsubishi logo.

If it's any consolation, there's nothing like that here anymore, except the light.

It took me a while to find it, yes, you're right.
Did you know that the Mitsubishi logo is a stylized airplane prop, as is the BMW logo?

I did not, but that certainly makes sense.
 
We used to go to the Lockheed surplus yard on San Fernando Rd at five points in Burbank and buy misc used tooling at ten cents a pound.
That's where the Skunk Works once resided.
I hear it's all paved over today with acres of shopping centers and parking lots...
