I finally had a chance to play with a band saw that's been collecting dust for a few years...
Never did paint it, but it did get new oil in the gearbox, guide rollers and a new blade.
The speed control screw had a broken handle, so I made up a new screw to hold a fancy new handle from the plumbing department at the Home Depot. At least the color matched.
I was missing the blade wiper assembly so I have to make up something to take the place of that part. I'm guessing it was a brush of some type. If anyone has one of these saws and can take a picture, it would be a big help.
Still have to adjust the blade a bit more, but it sure does buzz through steel bar pretty nice.
