PART 2 - The Pump.
The pump of this system was also completely shot. This time, there were NO active seals left. They all completely disintegrated.
A replacement with the correct ID and OD wasn't available, so I had to select the ID and make a sleeve for the pump to fit the available OD. Here is the body of the pump:
The OD is 26mm, but the closest OD available was 22.5mm, so a sleeve was turned. Here is the pump body with the sleeve pressed in place. It is a light press fit.
Here's a pic of the new seal inserted into the pump.
The new seal will require a backup part to keep the seal from deforming on use, so a hard plastic backup was turned. Here it is inserted into the pump:
