Reallly BIG Lagun

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the shop of one of the younger members of Tuckahoe Steam & Gas Association's machine shop museum. I got to see his Lagun Republic FVA-5LA. This thing is massive. It has a 20hp spindle and the table is something like 17x78 inches, not including the tool trays on each end. Weighs about 11,000 pounds.

Just looked that unit up. That is a very big table on a very large mill. Nice.
