Thanks. It is all ground square and has tenons in the base. This keeps the face square to the vice so moving the plate keeps the end of the stop in the same position on the X axis. The mating parts are held together using a spring washer keeping them pressed against each other & don't need tightening when moved.I like that vise stop when you watch the utube.
The height adjustment lever looks like it has a locking feature (by lifting the lever) as well. Is this the case?This adjustable fixture when collapsed is the height of my vice base and can quickly rise up to 50mm higher.

Yes it can. It is a bit of a fiddle to get it in the right position with the right tension but once set it could replace the locking thumbscrew.The height adjustment lever looks like it has a locking feature (by lifting the lever) as well. Is this the case?
