I am new to the forum. Just acquired a 1959 South Bend 13" lathe. I came with this quick change tool post but it does not have any markings or label to what brand it is. Can anybody tell me what it is & if it is a decent tool post? Thanks for your time.

Cool. Is it a decent post? I haven't seen too many that have the handle on the side like that.

Never used that style so not sure. Maybe someone here that has one can chime in.

I have one on my SB heavy 10. It is a good holder. I love it. I have had to machine my own holders because they are not as easily available as the more common AXA, BXA etc holders.

Sounds good. I noticed that mine is square where all of kdk holders I found have the sloped edge. Is mine just a very old version?
