I'm almost done getting my lathe (Atlas Craftsman 101. 07403) ready. I'd like to get a QCTP. I'm looking at one from LMS: #2280, AXA. Would I need to modify the steel pieces to fit the tool post holder on the lathe? There's no dimensions showing how high the QCTP is or how high the cutters sit. Here are some dimensions for the lathe:

Would this QCTP be a good choice? Let me know if there's something better.

Quality varies wildly but AFAIK, any AXA should fit the 101.07403. They are made to take 3/8" square tooling, and the #101 holder will take 1/2" diameter round. You will almost certainly have to make a proper T-nut to fit.

Yes, AXA is definitely the size you want. No modifications are needed to the lathe. All you need is a T-nut (made or bought) that fits your Atlas compound, maybe also a threaded stud and nut if the QC setup doesn't come with one.
