Power Transmission? What Is This?

I fed the part online and it only came up with the company: tolomatic hamel part # 02360460

I'm wondering what it does. It looks like it's an internal gear box. I bought it for $150. Owner said it was $300.

He has 3 more to sell me but before I buy I want to know more about it. I'm building some 2-ft gauge locomotives and needed to gear down the motor to produce more torque to pull some kiln cars. I was going to mount one on each of the two axles so I was thinking to buy one more. Hoping that they sync together well.

There is a pdf on that page with a spec chart. Your part number is there.
It's a right angle drive with a 2:1 reduction ratio. Looks like a quality device. There are specs, tech sheets, part sheets and tips on that web page also.

Don't know if this is what you want.

Tolomatic made many products for the automation industry in the past, they produced excellent devices for pneumatic machine controls.

Fortunately for everyone involved, the use of pneumatic machinery is being replaced by more modern tech in the manufacturing and distribution industries.
