I just finished up this project yesterday. It is a 60's era model 81 Powermatic 20" band saw for resale. Now I have to start on the Wellsaw and 3 Shosmiths that are in que.

You get "3 atta boys" for that project Randy, nice piece of work.

Wow, that's a damn piece if artwork now. You can't use it!!! Hah hah...

Your patience and attention to detail are second to none.. Have you restored any other machines?

Thanks Guys,
Yes restoring old American Iron is one way I make my hobby pay for itself. I find old machines on CL, yard sales and referrals. I buy them cheap, fix them up to like new condition and sell them. It is no way to get rich, but I get to spend some time with a variety of old machines and I enjoy doing it. The problem is that I don't get to keep enough of them :))

Looks really nice, Randy. I wish I could find old machines around here. Most of them are held by the old timers who are still using them.:))

Thanks Tony,
Usually when I get them, they are nonfunctional and are headed to the scrapper. Nobody wants them.
