Poor mans gear box

I'm looking to make a 90 degree gearbox and I am looking for an inexpensive pair of steel bevel/miter gears.
Something with a bore of .5" to .625"
Torque probably around 10 ft/lb. 1:1 ratio

Anyone know of a good source? Thanks.

Buy an angle grinder or pick one up used.
You can also search bevel gears ( they have sets as well) by bore size here:

I've got a pair, 1.58" O.D., one pinned on a 1/2" shaft about 7 3/4" long and the other is threaded 5/8-11 R.H. They appear unused. You can have 'em if you want. P.M. me if interested.

Try Boston Gear last place I worked would use them from time to time, may take a bit more green stamps than you want to turn loose of.
