Pm833 overtravel without machine modifications?

Hi All,

I'm buying a DRO for my pm833, but the machine is 1000 miles away! (I work a jobs elsewhere)

What's the stock travel without any machine modifications? Please let me know. Matthew's reports 11 inches on y, but I sense that most people probably overtravel slightly.

I always wonder what overtravel does to gibs, it cannot be good.

You will loose a little with DRO moving back, and loose a little forward if you have power feed due to the auto stop. So over-travel isn't an issue.
