Ok, I need to pull apart the back and.cleanup the install on the motor isolation install. Somewhere the machine is leaking oil in the back. I would have thought one of the bolts hold the isolation dampers, but I see also oil above on the outside of the control box. I'm not sure if that is s

plash/spray or something else.

Anyone with a pm1440gs/1440bv/1440e or other experiencing anything? I'd like to make this a quick fix as opposed to my usual weeks lol:grin:

There are a number of bolts that hold the electrical control panel/box to the back of the headstock, these go directly into the headstock and can leak oil through them. Even if these are above the oil fill line they can leak oil, I tell people when reinstalling their control boxes to put sealant on any screw going into the headstock. If below the oil fill line, you will need to drain the headstock clean and seal the screws and then refill with oil.

Can you tell if it’s gearbox oil or cutting oil? It’s possible if you use a lot of cutting oil it could be dripping off the back shield and dripping from there? What’s the highest point you can see a leak?

Definitely gearbox oil.
Thanks mark, its what I'm thinking, but I wanted to be sure. I just put in fresh oil, but at the rate its leaking out in about a month it will be much lower.

You must have made some modifications because mine doesnt look like that at all. I have a PM1440GS. You have a door hinge? Sorry, I cant be of help because it just looks very different than mine.

I changed everything in there trying to reduce vibrations. Door hinge is temporary.
