So I just bought a PM 1127 lathe and PM 932 mill and got them set up. What a difference it is working with these machines compared to my 1940's vintage Atlas 618 and LMS mini mill(Good machines both, but I wanted to move on to bigger work). Early this week the table drive on my mill starting making a clunking sound. Pulled the mechanism apart and found the nylon gear was missing teeth and they definitely were sheared off. To my way of thinking this doesn't just happen and I thought I must have inadvertently did something to mess up the gear. When I emailed PM, showed them a picture and asked what I needed to do to order a new gear I was pleasantly surprised by the answer. " Under warranty what address do I send it to." This is the type of service that cements a loyal customer base!

Make sure you are unlocking the table before driving it, and check the limit switch, make sure it’s working properly.

Actually I think I bumped the handle while it was rotating somehow.

I have bought 3 PM machines (one of which is still on the way). PM has always come through for me and often exceeded my expectations. This sure made a loyal customer out of me.
