I’m looking to add an X-Axis feed to my PM-30MV. I’ve seen several threads using the PM power feed but not the Vevor. The only difference in specifications that I see in PM uses a 17mm shaft instead of an (apparently) more common 5/8”. Normally I’d just push the EASY button and get the PM but it’s twice the price the Vevor drive which has essentially the same specs,
Has anyone done the PM / Vevor upgrade and if so what were the mods required?

Thanks!

IMO there is value in a product that has been verified to work with the PM mill, How much value is up to you, take a look at this thread to get an idea of home much adaptation will be needed.
also PM is very good with warranty / after sales support, and do not get me wrong because i buy a lot of stuff from Vevor but their warranty and after the sales support is lacking.

I need to update that post regarding the auto-stop sensor mount as the Vevor wasn't a direct fit so I 3D printed some parts to get it to work.

If you have a lathe, the material, time, and desire to make adapter parts, the Vevor might be worth it to you. If you just want to get to work...get the one PM sells.

But that is half the point of being a home hobby machinist - making stuff for the stuff you use to make stuff.

I made a power feed mount for my Y axis on my PM 940M. Between the lathe, mill and plasma cutter I got it done.
