Can someone offer some ideas on mounting the Y-axis DRO scale and still be able to lock the y axis? Thanks.
Hum, I originally put it there, but removed it due to concerns about swarf. Good to know at least one person didn't have issues with it. I'll re-try that option. Thanks!A few more ideas in this thread. Most common seems to either put a spacer between the scale/cross slide for access and modify the gib screw, I opted to put mine on the headstock side that bolts to the follow rest. I use it constantly, it works quickly and I have no issues with swarf.
