My old belt had the writing worn off, and by measurement the counter guy gave me a belt 1/2" shorter than the used one. The old one could not be adjusted anymore due to the adjuster hitting the frame where the motor is mounted. The new belt went on, but I feel that it is too tight. Does anyone have a belt number, or inch dimension for this?

I did get an answer for this. it's a metric belt 7M730, a link belt was also mentioned. I was getting an "all systems are busy" message for awhile.

That was not the right belt number, I called again, and got a different number, but I think that one will be wrong too, I'll see when I get home.
I seem to have a lot of play in the tensioner head too, some is in the shaft, and snap ring that mount to the bracket. The bearings seem worn also, so those will be replaced as well.

Belts can vary by manufacturer, so you need to measure the belt diameter and match it to the brand you want or take it down to an automotive dealer. As I previously mentioned, the Gates belt work very well, I have been using the tri-power on several machines and they have lasted a long time with almost no belt dust. They do make a 7M30 in a Polyflex belt, but the metric version is hard to come by. A 7M belt is very narrow, I am not aware of an inch equivalent size. Might check the belt width and compare to the ID below.

on the phone I was given the belt number for the wrong machine. Then the numbers 0-830, and he said a 30" belt. My first try was after measuring the worn belt at 34", and going .5" shorter that was too tight. I have a 34" to try when I get home, or tomorrow morning after I change bearings. I think the 0-830 is the belt width. I have a NAPA 3L340W Kevlar industrial belt in hand to try.

Mine needed a 3L 350 from ace it a Mitsubishi belt it's a little down in the grove but works great.

I tried a NAPA 35" belt too loose, the 34" was too tight for my comfort, I'll go to Ace, and measure their belt. I also found that the axle that presses into the bracket spun, and has a pronounced wobble when seated, and the clip is installed. I'm guessing the bearing was dragging enough that the axle was spinning, and it, or the hole or both are worn. I can weld that though. You can see the tensioner hitting at the bottom, and the adjustment range is limited.

Looking at it, I might be able to drill, and tap another hole to move the bracket....maybe not, the angles might change, but still have the same problem.

I ordered 2 7M730 belts in the beginning, but it was deemed the wrong belt altogether. So if you can use a 7M730 belt I can mail 1 or both of them out, depending if one or two people respond.
