Folks, I am planning on learning basic lathe operations to help with motorcycle restoration projects. Also to bore our cylinders. Been looking at purchasing a PM 10-30 machine. In talking to the technical team they don't have any options for a 1" boring bar, and didn't have any recommendations about how to make it work on their machine. The machine I have listed is based upon budget, and space available in my shop. Appreciate advice and options that might work. The cylinders are 60mm x 5" deep and will need to go to around 60.5mm for the oversized pistons.

Thanks for your advice,

You can certainly make a boring bar holder to go onto either the compound rest or to be used in a qctp , depending on which way you want to go.
There is not likely to be a factory made 1” bar holder specifically designed for your machine

If you want it really rigid. Remove the compound and make a solid boring bar holder to attach directly to your crossfeed.

Cutting oil is my blood.

Thanks for your advice. I have made tools in the past to facilitate a solution, just never with a lathe. Don't know what I don't know, but with good advice from experience I look forward to the opportunity.
