A friend sent my these photos of this shaper. unfortunately he is confined to a wheelchair and was not able to get to the brand or model .If it was closer i would run over and look at it but it is about a hundred miles away .I already own a 16 inch and need this one like i need a another orifice LOL but you know how it is .The first thing see is it has no vise and that it may be hydraulic is this a plus?? Also i think i can get if for scrap price .Any help identifying this thing would be greatly appreciated Thanks Donny

I am surprised there isn't a name stamped on the ram. Looks pretty good for being outside. Hopefully the gears are covered in oil. Maybe the motor needs to be replaced.
 
I can't ID it, but it appears to be a hydraulic shaper. There looks to be a name plate on the operator side, but I can't make it out. One thing about a lot of machinery is that it is covered with oil and grease. At least until it falls into a hobbyist's hands for perfect restoration ;)

Tony is right it is a Rockford hydraulic shaper. My catalog lists that they made a 16" through a 28". The 16 weights 5240 lbs and the 28 weights 6790 lbs. The motor size runs from 7.5 To 10 hp.

To me the biggest down side would be that it has sat out side for a number of years. It will probably be full of of water. Just to hear it run at a minim you would have to change the oil which would probably be a 55 gal drum of oil.
