Parts tumbler aggregate ?

I wanted to find a fast way to deburr parts that are hard to do with a file. So I made a parts tumbler out of an old air compressor tank I had. I tried the harbor freight ceramic but it seems too fine and took hours to make any noticeable difference, So then I tried crushed stone but that is so heavy I have really speed the machine up to get it to move at all. Any recommendations on that media would have a fast aggressive cut? Thanks

yeah I just did a search for it and it does look smaller. lowes has it too so I might go get some and try that. thanks

yeah, I really do think so. I'm looking to break off burrs like you get when you drill a hole with a dull drill.

If you want to do holes, get the cone shape or tri star shaped media

Stainless steel tumbling media. Cones, egg shape and round. Trying to think if I got it in lapidary or jewellery.

I have used some Stainless steel tumbling media. I used them for a final polishing pass, not fast cutting.
