Part identification

I have new PM1440GT that required I remove the saddle to replace through no fault of PM. I had to remove the saddle, apron, cross-slide and more.

I am about to reassemble and am hoping someone can help identify this part.

Looks like a gib plate.

On that machine that I do not believe that is a gib, It looks to short for the compound gib and should be tapered. It appears to be a spacer.

That was my thought at first, but I have that plate, and it runs all the way across, whereas this one is shorter.

Here is another picture with the part in question circled in red sitting in front of the gib I thought it might be originally. I do not see a gib of any type for the front of the saddle.

I also attached a picture of the other parts that were removed.

Well, it was a gib/spacer for the taper attachment. Part of the taper attachment came loose and this part fell out when the lathe fell over. I picked it up not knowing where it came from. Thanks for everyone's comments.
