Part identification

I have new PM1440GT that required I remove the saddle to replace through no fault of PM. I had to remove the saddle, apron, cross-slide and more.

I am about to reassemble and am hoping someone can help identify this part.

Here is another picture with the part in question circled in red sitting in front of the gib I thought it might be originally. I do not see a gib of any type for the front of the saddle.

I also attached a picture of the other parts that were removed.

Well, it was a gib/spacer for the taper attachment. Part of the taper attachment came loose and this part fell out when the lathe fell over. I picked it up not knowing where it came from. Thanks for everyone's comments.
