I'm new to milling, ordered my ER32 collets but how do you keep them from rusting?

Don't store them in water?

I would think a light coat of oil would prevent any rusting.

Store them in an enclosure with desiccant packs
I have not tried it , but , rust blueing my be an option too

Another option is to build a cabinet (wood or metal) and stick a heater in it.

I use a Goldenrod in my gun safe. Never had any issues with the steel nor the wood.

Myself, I just spray things I don’t want to rust is spray it down with WD40

Ark I'd never trust water displacer trial 40 , to protect from rust you will be sorry. I trusted it on items to find rust almost to the pitting stage on my gun barrel stored in a safe in a controlled temperature house. And it was only a month before I needed it again. Now I use a mix of 30 st oil and half + half with chainsaw bar oil or gear oil . Never ever will they rust the tacky oil sticks on and stays on.
Vaseline is even better. And cheap too.

Stuff that rarely gets used LPS 3, more frequent use gets LPS2. The 3 may need to be cleaned before use, kinda sticky. I'm sure there are others that are good also.
