I'm wondering if there is a setting that allows previewing the lead message in a post/thread, such as the image below. This feature seems to be present in most forums I frequent and I thought it worked on this one previously, but it isn't currentluy. I've hunted for such a setting in Preferences, where everything is set to On, except for the Newsletter. If there is such a setting, could it be revealed to me, please?

Thanks,

Rick

The same feature is enabled here. I'm not sure what forum you pulled your screenshot from but below you will see that a), I have Enable discussion preview toggled on and b) and example of the discussion preview popping up when I hover over the thread title.

Two things come to mind if you are having trouble with this: a) do you have pop-ups enabled? I don't think this is a pop-up function. I believe it is simple html code that enables the feature. b) this could be a setting in your browser. Can you tell me which browser you are using? I might be able to help if the setting for that html feature is buried somewhere in there. I doubt it is option b, but figured I'd ask.

Thanks. I'm using Firefox 129.0.1. I did get a new computer recently and what I perceive as a change in behavior may be coincident with that.

I've not figured out how to get to the "Setup > Options >" page where the "Enable discussion preview" option is available. I've gone to My Account and Preferences, but I'm not finding the "Setup" option anywhere.

Sorry the screen shot o f settings was meant to illustrate that all members have the ability to see discussion previews. It is a global setting and it should be working for you.

Ah, no wonder I couldn't find it. Don't know what to think. The image I included was of another machining forum where the feature works. I also know that it works in others that I frequent. That makes me think it is a forum specific matter, rather than a global browser matter. But, you've shown that what you can do has it turned on. Thanks for the quick response and effort.
