Does anyone know where I can source this belt? It was originally fitted to an Emco PC 50 Mill.

Or if any Emco owners know of an equivalent, it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Dave

It's probably a metric standard size- got a picture? Any numbers printed on it? If a timing type belt:
Check the tooth profile- it will probably be either trapezoidal or semi-circular
That, plus the pitch (spacing) of the teeth would likely be enough info to ID the type

This is what it looks like:TB2.jpgTB3.jpgTB1.jpgTB4.jpg

OK, definitely trapezoidal teeth. So measure the pitch (2mm?) and the belt width, and count the number of teeth:

Looks like it could be an MXL type: (miniature extra light)
The number printed on your belt is probably an in-house part number for Emco use only.

You would want to look up a generic part number. For example, if your belt has 75 teeth and is 3/8" width (0.375 inch)
the part number would be 75MXL037

Yes perhaps your correct, Optibelt like Gates are a massive international manufacture of belts. So I guess being German they probably did make made this belt unique to Emco.

However, It's a bit thick of me for not originally posting the belts dimensions! But the pitch is 2mm, Length 160 mm, width 12.7 mm (1/2 ")

Thanks
Dave

The 1/2" width is less common than the 3/8" but should be available somewhere
Aliexpress and Ebay have several belt vendors, I'm sure you could find one there
If the tooth count is critical you should sit down and carefully count them so you know for sure
From your second photo I counted 74 teeth

I don't think the number of teeth is an issue, as long as the pitch is matched, meaning if the belt was a tad longer it can adjusted by the stepper mounting bracket, so as long as the length is within say 5 or so mm that should be ok.

OK. The original then, would be a 74MXL050 and you could probably use a 75MXL050 also
Shouldn't be too difficult to find
