I have searched for a few months now for a set of prints for an Unlimited Class Rail Gun. The lead I had (McCloskey) turned up as a deceased gunsmith. He had the only set of prints available. What I am requesting here is a last ditch long shot that one of you gun enthusiasts might have a set of these prints or know of someone that might have them. Thank you for reading this.

Bill, I'm right along with you in searching for "Rail Gun" plans. I bet we have looked a the same limited info that is available on the web. Which is not very much. Only a few "YouTube" videos just documenting the elusive sport. This must be a very closely guarded secret among a very few. I know they are mostly individually made and I only found one source that makes the bottom rail part. They look to all have some basic/same concept in operation but I'm sure there are some unknown operating facts in the building process. I did find some up close pictures of a very basic rail gun. How can I share these pictures with you?

Two ways to get them to me. My email gruby10 at comcast.net or just post them here.

given the climate today,
i can't imagine the ATF ,NSA, FBI,CIA would want those types of plans out there

No strict law covers those that I am aware of Mike. They are single shot. This is a great start. I will be at the drawing board for a while.

Bill, did you get the pictures? If you want you can share them here. Maybe someone here can give some insight as to some of the functions or have some inspiration. You might get something going here. I would like to see one made out of a .223 or .308 cal. Heck even a bolt action 22lr would be neat.

You are going to need a lot of capacitors- the control system will be a fun plan/build
i'd love to see one function in person

I think he is referring to a single shot bolt action bench rest gun usually in 6mm . Not the electronically fired military weapon.
