Hi all it’s been a while, So I picked up this old floor model dp with the slow speed attachment and four handle downfeed .
It’s had a rough life , I’m gona try fixing it up . It dose have a newer Sears 1.5 hp motor on it , the rest needs help .
Going to need a spindle pulley “4 grove” and spindle return spring it dose have the ark of shame and 15 coats of different paint.
Can’t seem to find a similar dp pic on line to get close to a model number as the # badge is damaged on it..
I’m thinking it’s made by atlas , it has a craftsman head cover. Any help identifying it would be appreciated, a parts breakdown would be great. Sorry for the bad pictures. It’s all disassembled now .
Thanks

Gotta love old iron ! :)

Check out VintageMachinery.org: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=222&tab=4&sort=2&th=false&fl=Drill Press

There are a bunch of listings there where folks have posted photos of 101.03622 drill presses. As you suggested, they were made by Atlas, apparently between about 1939 and 1942.

VM also has 3 listings for downloadable parts list publications at: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=222&tab=3&sort=3&th=false&fl=Drill Presses

Thanks , that will help.

There are also some Atlas and Craftsman catalogs and parts manuals in Downloads. By and large, they are either better scans or have been cleaned up much better. In fact, the source of a few of them was originally VM.

Craftsman is done and working great, here’s the newest dp projects , they were someone’s yard art that I talked them out of , they were rusted solid , installed new bearings and cleaned up ,found time correct motors for them. still need flat belts and a step pulley.
Black one is a buffalo forge , both are benchtop drill presses
