Howdy, I got this old atlas lathe from a trade. I own a motorcycle shop and want to use it for making bushing, spacers etc. when I got it home I found that the cross over plate was busted where the screw Is. Does anyone have something they would be willing to part with and sell? Or point me in a direction. Thank you!

Depends on the break- could be a simple epoxy repair or more involved? Cast iron is often brazed. Lots of parts on Ebay but prices are high now

I tried to attach photos earlier but account was still being verified, here the break. Had a machine shop look at it and they would be quite a bit of time in cause they don’t have the square thread taps. Would like to replace as it seems the thread is a removable piece so hoping someone has one kicking around

I know that I am not that knowledgeable about old lathes but I can't figure out where these parts go on an old Atlas lathe. I looked at a bunch of publications on the vintage machinery website and found nothing that resembled your parts. A picture of where it goes on your lathe would help.

Ran by leather belt and has had the motor swapped I assume at some point, overall works great but found this when I went to start cutting and it would hold any pressure

Well, since the compound mounts on t-slots you should be able to adapt almost anything of suitable size. You may even be able to do without a compound until you find one that works.

Look up “plinth” on here, you may be able to make something to mount a tool post to and forgo the compound. Get a quick change tool post to mount your cutting bits to, probably AXA size.

That’s kinda what I was figuring to hear, I’ll take some measurements and see what I can find with your info! Appreciate it, anymore info on setting that up would be sweet. I’ll get some photos with measurements later if there is any more specifics that might help finding a good solution.
