Oilcup Removal?

I'm rebuilding a 16inch Whipp shaper.
I've found both threaded and pressed cups.
Most of the spring covers were broken off.
So I wasn't to concerned if I broke/crushed them on removal.
My result was without further damage to the broken cups.
I scrapped away the paint and dirt then very gently twisted/unscrewed them both.
