Nice Jacobs 18N Ball bearing Super Chuck 3/4" capacity US made $175 (sunnyvale, CA)

That's weird. I don't think I've ever seen a Jacobs ball bearing chuck with that style of sleeve. I just looked in my June 1, 1974 Jacobs catalog and they looked like shown below, for 46 years at least.

I have one identical to the one listed . I didn't think it was a super chuck but maybe it is . :dunno:
 
I don't know the dates & history but the Ball Bearing Super Chucks did used to come with that plain style looking sleeve. They pop up on Ebay from time to time. The older ones were stamped Ball Bearing Super Chuck on those nose instead of on the sleeve like the newer ones.
 
My Jacobs 34-02 has that skirt.
