Just picked up a Montgomery-Ward 700. I had to figure this out because it has no tags or labels on it, but it matches the pics I found exactly.
Looking for info on it, I've found out a lot, like it's a Logan I believe an 820, but I'd like to confirm this.
It needs a bunch of TLC with the biggest issue being it needs a new split nut.
I've found the Logan store site.

Although it's a 10" it has custom made 1-1/2" risers and I believe that now makes it a 13". (Is this correct? I'm new to lathe terminology.)
It has a big 2 hp motor on it and a nice shop built (bent on a brake) metal stand and tray.
It came with 2-3 jaw chucks and one 4 jaw, plus lots of tooling.

I'll try to post some pics later today.

So you found the Logan Web site: http://www.lathe.com/, that's good! Make sure you check out the FAQ, lots of good info there.

This table from the Logan Web site lists the models and descriptions: http://www.lathe.com/models.htm

I believe the Wards models are very similar to the standard Logan offerings but there are differences. Once you identify your lathe for sure you can order the correct owners manual and parts list from Scott Logan at that web site. It is well worth the $25 if you don't have one.

And yes adding 1.5" riser blocks will increase the swing from 10" to 13".

Please post pictures, there is a thread "Show us your Logan lathes!" dedicated to pictures. We all like pictures!

I think 1946 is correct. I have no idea what all the differences are between those 3 models. You might want to spend some time looking over the Montgomery Ward catalogs on the Vintage Machinery web site: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgIndex/detail.aspx?id=657&tab=3

From the 1941 catalog it looks like the headstock bearings for the "Deluxe Model 700" were ball bearing but the "Standard Model 701" had plain bearings. I didn't spend much time looking but I didn't see any mention of the Model 699.

Warning you can get sucked in and spend many hours looking at all the great old catalogs and manuals on the web site!
