I bought some urethane tires for my metal cutting saw . The original tires had a rib which the new ones don't have. Do you think i should fill the groove in the wheels with some kind of akapucky or leave them :thinking:alone ? Thanks Donny

There is a seller on fleabay who has a kit consisting of a urethane filler band for the groove which I believe sits proud of the wheel, thus forming a crown when the urethane tire is stretched over the wheel. That said, I would cement the tires with 3M 5200 urethane marine bedding compound/adhesive, then grind the crown at about 5 degrees in place. You will have a very sweet running machine. DO NOT try to cheat the cure time on the 5200. DAMHIKT!

Got some pic's the new tires are way to thin . What about putting tree tires on each wheel to get the proper thickness ? I already have two sets i had got the second set for my powermatic wood cutting band saw. What about rolling two rings out of 3/16 flat stock shrink fit them on the wheels true them on the lathe with some crown then the thin tires would work and you don.t have to depend on delta ??? Why not just buy the correct tires? I have an identical saw, and was able to buy two new ones and replace them; they are quite thick and a hard urethane, and a real ***** to mount! I took the wheels off the saw and bolted them to my mill table to make the job easier and was able to do it from a standing posture --- And, they are not cheap, about $115 each.

Were did you find them and how long ago was that . My search for that thickness of tire has bin fruitless so far . I did just get some info from another source that indicates that the wheels can be moved horizontally to accommodate any tire thickness . If that turns out to be correct for my saw that will allow to align the wheels up with the guides Donny
