Hey guys, finally got my account unlocked, wanted to introduce myself. I really wish I had documented more of the lathe rebuild process, but it was several years ago. I picked up this 12x36 #101 28910 in Wheeling, WV, it was in a barn on a very awful homemade stand for 250 bucks. The ways have a little wear in them near the headstock but it has otherwise adjusted up pretty nicely. I've been teaching myself how to use it for a couple years now when I have time to work on it. I'm still learning, and hope to eventually find a benchtop mill to go with it. I really like the idea of having an atlas horizontal mill right next to it, but as a beginner, a vertical mill might be a better choice. Ok, onto the pictures, before and after.
