New LCD DRO only one axis working?

The DRO is new with Sino scales it works with only on plugged in. Accuracy may be off could this be a setting in programming?
 
Can you swap the connectors for the scales at the back of the DRO? If the problem moves with the scale that will tell you it's likely a scale problem. If it doesn't, likely a DRO issue.
 
The description of the problem doesn't give much information. Does it work when only one scale is plugged in? Or does only one scale work when both are plugged in. Two or three channel? What happens when you switch the connections? There are four or so common pin assignments on Chinese DROs. Are the scales you got from one vendor compatible with the DRO from a different vendor?
 
The DRO and Scales are TTL playing with it more it seems to not matter if all or just one scale is plugged in. If any of the scales are working at the time they eventually will stop responding then start to work after a period of time. They also seem to lose position while moving with very poor accuracy. I have 2 of the same DRO's and they both do this wondering if a setting in the DRO is the probblem.
 
Saying TTL just means it puts out a 5V square wave. What it doesn't say is whether it's quadraphased (x,y) or quadraphased with reference (x,y,r). There are also scales with inverse signals for redundancy, but they aren't at this price point. To further complicate matters, there is no standard for the pin assignments. It seems that most of the Ebay scales have the signals +5V, 0V, X, Y on pins 1, 2, 3, and 4. But I have one Aliexpress sourced DRO that has them on pins 9, 8, 7, and 3.

You can go into the settings of the DRO and make sure the resolution matches your scales, and maybe see if they off option scale types.
 
Thanks everyone RandyWilson got this one right I will have to rewire them all. Thank goodness the pin-outs are available! Not to my self next time check to pin outs before ordering.
