I had a friend at my Church, a retired metal lathe machinist, who made all kinds of wooden projects on his lathe. I think it was a 12"-14" he bought from his employer when he retired.

Those folks in Holland Michigan make it look easy. My family went there on vacation years ago. A great place to see.
